- you do not need premium or gold rounds. you have many opportunities to hit enemy tans on weaker side or rear armor
- frontline is a less painful way to level up your hard to play tier 8 tanks
- getting a higher rank is a good xp and credit bonus
- make sure to go for repairs when your hp is at 25%
- take advantage of respawning. be aware of how many respawns you have available, and risk your hp if you can easily respawn

Frontline tips
Re: Frontline tips
- playing spg, defending, resetting cap, earns a lot of xp easily
- the best way to earn credits, xp, and achieve general, is to cap or reset cap
- if there are not enough tanks on your flank, ask people to respawn on your cap, such as "DO NOT SPAWN ON C". likewise if there are too many, tell people not to spawn there
- ask people to drop smoke on your cap before you attempt a difficult cap, such as "SMOKE ON F NOW"
- if an enemy tank reverses into a hiding spot, and stops for a few moments, he is probably calling for an airstrike against you, or another player

Re: Frontline tips
- avoid playing along the east or west redlines, if you can play between caps instead. if you play between caps, you can switch caps quickly if you do not have enemy targets.
- if you cap alone, you get way more xp and advance to general much faster
- have tanks for specialized purposes. have 1 fast tank for capping DEF, 1 high penetration tank for firing at the final objectives, 1 superheavy for capping ABC, 1 autoloader, 1 heavily armored TD for defense, etc.

Re: Frontline tips
on most zones or maps, whoever controls the flanks wins
if an enemy tank suddenly hides and pauses, he is probably calling in an artillery strike on you
its better to win than to lose. some players intentionally try to lose because they think if they get General and lose it is better then getting a lower rank and winning, however only 2 or so out of 30 get General (5% to 10%) and they are unlikely to get a good rank. Its better to get General and win

Re: Frontline tips
check the number of players on your flank by pressing TAB before you spawn in. if there are too many allies, go to another flank (in general).
if you do not have enough players on your flank, ask others to spawn in. if you have too many, tell players not to spawn in.
some final objectives are lightly defended. for example it might be 5 vs 5 on a final objective. tell your allies "5 v 5 on objective 1" or whatever so they can decide if they want to help or not
if you are about to cap on an open field, ask allies to drop smoke. write "smoke F now" in chat
if the enemy is capping, write "artillery on F now" so allies can drop artillery strikes to prevent cap

Re: Frontline tips
if you find a nice hiding spot, and kill an enemy tank, he might respawn as a light tank and come looking for you
put anything that improves engine power on your heavy tanks
you don't need sixth sense. you can have crew just for Frontline that does not have it. (I do).

Re: Frontline tips
Fire at the round vents on the back of the final objectives using HE rounds to do maximum damage.
Re: Frontline tips
Get General by spotting, dealing damage, and reseting cap.
The easiest way is to reset cap. Play SPG at the end of the game if you need to level up quickly.
Play a high penetration TD and snipe the cap, with gold rounds. If you fire only a few gold rounds, make sure it is at the cap.
Use light tanks to cap as much as possible. This helps you level up. If you cap all by yourself, you will go up about 90% of 1 rank.
Staying in the game as long as possible will help you rank up. Keep an eye on your respawns, and be careful not to get knocked out if you do not have any respawns left.
Getting general almost always means having fast tanks, high penetration, good positioning, etc.
If the enemy assaults slowly, you will have trouble getting general, because you will not do enough spotting, damage, cap resets, etc.
If you are in the wrong zone, for example an empty zone with few enemy targets, you will have trouble increasing your rank.
Usually your rank goes up in sudden bursts. You have moments with fast action, and then moments with no action. Ty to plan your position so you are always in combat.
