In order to get more workers in SimCity, the player must first construct housing for the workers to live in. There are a variety of housing options available, from low-density residential zones to high-density apartment buildings. Once housing has been built, the player must then provide jobs for the workers to fill. This can be done by constructing commercial and industrial buildings, or by establishing a trade port.
